I knew I was meant to be a designer when I was 10. My mom sent me in to the grocery store to buy laundry detergent by myself. I came out thirty minutes later with a carefully selected bottle (it was not the one she told me to purchase). I had fallen victim to the beautiful and convincing designs and had spent those thirty minutes admiring every bottle the isle had to offer. It was the first time I became aware of myself as a consumer and I knew that one day I wanted to make people feel as excited about their purchases as I did at 10 about that laundry detergent.
